Citadel Coffee Company was born in the Gunnison Valley, Colorado, out of a simple idea: serve coffee strong enough to stand behind, anywhere people gather. We pull every shot to order and treat the cart like a stronghold for a good morning.

I didn't take the usual road to coffee. I started out in banking — numbers, spreadsheets, a desk. It paid the bills, but it never lit me up. That changed the day I took a job at Starbucks, where a real fascination took hold: how a few degrees of temperature or a few seconds of extraction can change an entire cup, the craft behind every drink, and the science hiding inside something people reach for every single morning.
So I dove in. I worked at Starbucks locations across Colorado, learned everything I could, and worked my way up to store manager — running a shop, leading a team, and obsessing over the small details that separate a good cup from a great one. Getting to know coffee lovers in communities all over the state, it hit me: I didn't just want to make coffee for someone else's brand. I wanted to build my own.
That's why I founded Citadel Coffee Company in the Gunnison Valley — a stronghold for a good morning. Coffee strong enough to stand behind, pulled fresh to order, and served with genuine connection. Every cup is a chance to elevate the everyday. Thanks for being part of the early days.
